Artist biography
ABOUT
I am a Colombian visual artist based in France. My practice operates at the intersection of photography, body, territory, and memory. I studied at the National University of Colombia and graduated with honors (DNSEP) from the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes Saint-Nazaire. I work across disciplines, combining analog photography, lithography, video, and performance, with an experimental approach in which chance, chemistry, and the materiality of the image play a central role.
My research explores the relationship between the human body and ecosystems, approaching nudity as a political and poetic gesture of reintegration with nature. I develop projects where the intimate and the collective intertwine, activating memories, identities, and historical tensions. Within this framework, the body emerges as a living archive that moves through territories shaped by violence, resistance, and transformation.
The crossing of techniques is central to my work: I extend photography into lithography, experiment with photosensitive materials, and combine analog processes with elements drawn from poetic writing, video, and performance. Through these hybridizations, I construct images where the visible and the invisible coexist, opening spaces of emergence in which matter transforms into vision.
My work has been presented in collective exhibitions in France, the United States, and Latin America. My practice is grounded in an artistic research engaged with questions of identity, diversity, and social justice, particularly in relation to LGBTQI+ communities and Latin American territories.
