The Witness emerged from my exploration of gay life in Nantes. It looks at the practice of outdoor cruising, still present in many places throughout the city, and at the way gay men continue today to seek pleasure in forbidden and public spaces, preserving anonymity and leaving the familiar traces of our practices.
