The Time Between Skin and Paper
Presented at REFLETS, Dialogues of Identity – Nantes, 2023
The light passing through the negative fixes them for eternity; then paper and ink transform them, and even more so the stone that receives them distorted, cut apart, imperfect, on the verge of exploding. On that same stone, they are transformed by inks, acids, and water: new forms, colors, shadows, and textures emerge from them, reaching the very pores of the skin.

Between skin and skin, between skin and earth, between stone and paper, there is only time.
Their union is erotic and animal, both strange and sublime. Their skin becomes one: their bodies join the skin of the planet, the trees, the earth, and the stones. They emerge as a single being on the path eroded by flowing water; they are life and its continuation upon the only dead surface for miles around.
